Everyone wants to lose weight healthily.
Unfortunately it often seems that losing weight healthily is relatively difficult. What does one have to do to lose weight healthily?
Losing weight healthily: Which conditions need to be fulfilled?
- Losing weight healthily can only be done if one loses weight slowly. 0.5 to 1kg a week is the maximum weight reduction that is still healthy.
- One of the prerequisites for healthy weight loss is continuing to supply the body with all of the vital nutrients. This condition is almost impossible to fulfil for e.g. in a 1000 kcal diet. The amount of food consumed in a 1000 kcal diet is far too little to assure that the body gets all the vital nutrients.
- Losing weight is very strenuous for the body. It is extremely unhealthy if a person constantly loses and gains weight. Losing weight healthily means losing weight in the long-run. In order to lose weight in the long-run it is insufficient to only change the food for the duration of the diet. It is important to change the diet in general for a longer period of time and to increase energy consumption by doing more physical activity.
If you want to lose weight healthily, then it is very important to plan it well. It certainly will not work if a “7 days 7 kilos miracle diet” is picked out of the next best women’s magazine.
On our web page “Diets etc…” you will find an evaluation of the main diets.
