Supersets
Supersets are a combination of 2 exercises which have no break in between them. The break is only after the 2 exercises.
Antagonistic Supersets:
During the second exercise the antagonistic muscle is exercised. Example: Biceps / Triceps
Synergistic Supersets:
During the second exercise the same muscle is exercised. Example: Dumbbell Curl / Biceps Curl.

Supersets: Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages
- Antagonistic Supersets:
Double effect in half the time
- Synergistic Supersets: Muscle fibres that were not exercised in the first exercise are challenged to the limit in the second exercise.
Disadvantages
Who are supersets suitable for?
Supersets are particularly suitable for athletes whose muscles have stopped growing and who need new stimuli to advance their training.
