Sulphur

Sulphur is a component of important proteins and is found in all cells.

Sulphur : In Depth

Sulphur is found in every cell of the body. High concentrations of sulphur are found in skin, nails and hair.

Sulphur is usually found in protein foods. Amino acids such as cystine and methionine contain a lot of sulphur. Furthermore, sulphur can be found as a component in vitamin B1, pantothenic acid and biotin.

Sulphur : Requirement deficiency, oversupply

Inorganic forms of sulphur are not needed by the body. A sulphur deficiency can therefore not take place.
